Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Publix opens its second GreenWise Market in South Florida, located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Blvd.

Known as Fort Lauderdale’s premier dining and shopping destination, locals and tourists travel year-round to experience Las Olas’s fashion boutiques, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and art galleries. As new residential developments continue to flourish throughout the downtown area, it’s expected that the new market will be greeted with curiosity and excitement.

The market aims to be the perfect destination for all foodies, serving a large selection of organic, natural, and antibiotic-free foods. As guests get cozy with their coffee, wine, or craft beer while browsing the market’s wide selection of specialty groceries, they are privileged to experience a taste of local art as well.

In the entrance area of every GreenWise Market, you are welcomed by artwork from a local artist. The ever-growing collection of local art is the company’s way of supporting and connecting with their communities.

“GreenWise Market is committed to making each store a reflection of the local community,” said Publix Director of Communications Maria Brous. “Steven Teller’s mural is a beautiful example of that focus, and we’re proud to have his work prominently displayed in the store.”

Publix manager of Integrated Production Services, Joe O’Brien, was given the exciting task of presenting a selection of local artists to the creative board. He reached out to Fort Lauderdale’s premier art agency and event production company, Twenty6North Productions.
Widely known for their grand curation of murals and pop-up art shows throughout the Fort Lauderdale community, the company’s Creative Director Maxence Doytier and Art Curator Julia Kushner were quick to provide a curated selection of impeccable local talent to choose from.

None other than Ft. Lauderdale native, Steven Teller, who has recently gained much exposure due to his incredible mural work at Broward County Public School Virginia Shuman Young and Wilton Manor’s Equality Park, was chosen to design the highly anticipated new artwork.

“My design represents South Florida’s tropical environment,” shares Steven, “The vibrant floral colors guide the viewer into an oasis state of mind, where one would go to inhale serenity and exhale the stresses of everyday life.”
