Helge Hentschel, Jan-Marten Seitz promoted to C Level / Michael Blum Head of Communications:
Hanover, 25 February 2021. Helge Hentschel and Dr Jan-Marten Seitz are now part of the top management of Syntellix AG: Hentschel rises to the new position of Chief Legal and Accounting Officer, Seitz to Chief Technical Officer. Prof Utz Claassen, founder and CEO of the world's leading provider of metal-based bioresorbable implants for orthopaedic and trauma surgery use, explains: "Through their excellent work to date, both have proven that they are the best choice to jointly realise our ambitious goal of making magnesium the gold standard for implants in orthopaedics and trauma surgery worldwide."
Hentschel has been with Syntellix since 2015 and, among other things, is responsible for accounting, treasury, legal affairs and human resources. Her previous activities and responsibilities include various management and board positions in the EnBW Group. Seitz, who holds a doctorate in engineering, has also been with the biomedical technology innovator from Hanover since 2015 and is head of the research and development department as well as responsible for the overall manufacturing process chain.
Claassen sees Syntellix, whose unique alloy MAGNEZIX® has the stability advantages of metal, but, meanwhile approved for use in 67 countries, makes a second surgery for implant removal unnecessary and obsolete, as being excellently positioned in terms of management talent, also in view of the planned IPO in Singapore and in the longer term.
In order to manage press activities and public relations in the best possible way and to be able to communicate the significant advantages of the highly innovative Syntellix products for patients, doctors, clinics, health insurance companies and the health care system as a whole in the most efficient manner, Syntellix has created the position of Communications Director and appointed Michael Blum to serve in this important function. Blum is a journalist by training, but also has many years of international experience as a spokesman and as a manager / managing director in the fields of technology, tourism and sports.
