huunuu launch virtual literary festival about death, dying, bereavement and legacy.
huunuu have launched their first literary festival about death, dying, bereavement and legacy. With a stellar line-up of authors, writers and speakers already confirmed, it is set to be a one-of-a -kind event. Taking place from the 9th -22nd February, the virtual event includes workshops, author’s in conversation, a flash fiction competition, recommended book lists, a book of the day and the launch of their Real-Life Stories project.
“We all have messy big emotions that can be hard to navigate. By sharing, we can begin to understand that we are not alone,” said Cherry Williams, from huunuu, who will host a beginner’s workshop about how to write your own story.
“We wanted to pull this together into a different sort of literary festival, which we hope helps people to start thinking about their mortality, think about their place in the world and support those that are experiencing loss.”
