Press release from: CJPS Enterprises

SAGINAW, MI - June 6, 2007- DDI Engineering's new medical division, DuPeron Medical Systems, announced today that it has licensed worldwide exclusive rights to four pieces of Intellectual Property from the Regents of the University of California. DDI engaged CJPS Enterprises, LLC, cjps-enterprises.com, to identify these technologies, and help negotiate the agreement, which will have the effect of providing more value to DuPeron Medical Systems' customers and partners in the medical arena.

The intellectual property consists of
• U.S. Patent 6,893,464: Method and Apparatus for Providing an Expandable Spinal Fusion Cage
• A patent application titled "An Expandable Rod System to Treat Scoliosis and Method of Using the Same"
• A patent application titled "Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion Expandable Cage with Lordosis and Method of Deploying the Same"
• One additional invention, in the process of being filed
These inventions are methods and apparatuses for correcting spinal conditions and were made in the course of research at the University of California, Irvine, by Dr. Douglas Kiester, M.D., who does major spinal reconstruction including spinal stenosis, tumors, scoliosis, and cervical or neck surgery.

DDI Engineering (www.ddiengineering.com) has been providing OEMs with design expertise, quick prototyping capability, and finite element analyses for over 20 years. This expertise will be leveraged to commercialize directly or with partners the devices that will be created from this intellectual property. "It is a coup for our small company to be able to rapidly access such breakthrough inventions and to associate ourselves with the University of California and Dr. Kiester," said Steve DuPeron, president of DDI Engineering, "CJPS Enterprises was critical for us to achieve this important milestone, and I have asked the firm to continue their powerful impact on our company by helping us set up strategic alliances to minimize time-to-market, and increase the chances of success of these inventions."

Saginaw Future, Inc., a local economic development organization, introduced DDI Engineering to the high-growth strategy firm CJPS Enterprises (www.cjps-enterprises.com), which is known for its speed and results orientation to provide assistance to businesses that wish to diversify into the medical industry.

This assistance was also made possible through the 21st Century Jobs Fund Life Sciences Pipeline, managed by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the state of Michigan through one of Governor Jennifer Granholm's growth initiatives. This contract tasks CJPS Enterprises, LLC, to help Michigan companies grow profitable business in the life sciences.
