What to expect at The Middle East Smart Cities Summit 2012?
Prudent city development authorities, project stake holders and officials will congregate at the Intercontinental Doha between 28th & 29th May, 2012 to express their opinions at the ‘The Middle East Smart Cities Summit 2012', Qatar organized by Fleming Gulf Utilities Division. The summit aims not only to foster the growth and development of smart city projects in the GCC, but to also serve as a key assessor to gauge the commitment of stakeholders who are turning their visions into reality.Opening the day’s proceedings will be Hussain Naimi, the Advisor for Smart City to Lusail Real Estate Development Company’s CEO Eng. Essa Mohammed Ali Kaldari. Lusail‘s Integrated transportation systems is one of the most comprehensive networks that incorporates urban and public transportation and serves as a true real time example of ITS deployment in the region. The Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology (ICT Qatar) will present ' Developing Smart Cities with ICT' while Christopher Sorensen’s ‘Value Creation for Smart Cities – the Masdar Journey’ will the stress the role technology plays in creating sustainable ecosystems.
Leading the solutions portfolio’s will be Patrick Marti of Saia-Burgess Controls, Switzerland who will share insights on challenges and solutions for profitable infrastructure automation projects.
