Press release from: Turkishpolitix.com

/ PR Agency: Turkishpolitix.com
Turkishpolitix.com launches new user-friendly interface. The web-portal is dedicated to Turkish politics and aims to be the leading gateway to news, information and knowledge on Turkish affairs. It covers a wide range of topics from foreign policy to domestic affairs.

Today, Turkey as the World’s 19th largest economy is a rapidly developing country, an emergent market, and a regional power with the second largest army in the NATO. On 3 October 2005 Turkey has started accession negotiations with the European Union. We are witnessing a time when understanding Turkish politics has become crucial:

“Due to growing role of Turkey in the international area, the demand on information and knowledge on Turkish politics is growing. We have also increasing information sources on Turkey. However, the available information is poorly documented, communicated and disseminated to relevant stakeholders and general public.”, said Can Akdeniz, Chief editor of Turkishpolitix.com.

“I am confident that we can make a difference by informing international debates on Turkey with relevant and selected information and knowledge. We can offer more than a newspaper as we follow the political agenda and maintain regularly updated topical dossiers with resources. Our key principles are efficiency, transparency and neutrality.”

Turkishpolitix is a non-profit project developed by academics and journalists working on Turkish and EU affairs. It emerged from the simple idea of sharing information and knowledge on Turkish politics and policies in an efficient way. Turkishpolitix provides at no cost information to the community of actors concerned with Turkey (professionals, NGOs, press, policymakers and etc.). Acting as a gateway, the website gives easy access to a wealth of information on Turkish policies. The portal is in English and available at http://www.turkishpolitix.com.

Turkishpolitix is the independent webportal dedicated to Turkish affairs. It provides news, analysis and information on politics and policy in Turkey and is covering a multitude of topics: foreign policy, domestic politics, EU - Turkey relations, security policy, energy, trade, economic policy, Cyprus and more.
