LED ushers in a revolution in smart vehicle lighting
The ubiquitous LED technology offers a multitude of advantages. LED lamps provide many performance improvements over their incandescent predecessors: they consume less energy and produce less heat, are more reliable, have quicker starting times, are more resistant to vibrations and shocks as well as being smaller and so offer lots more possibility for design. The LED technology challenges
In addition to their many advantages, lighting solutions based on LED do introduce new problems. LED lamps have sensitive thermal characteristics that influence the stability of their photometric performance and emit ultraviolet radiation (UV) that can do harm to light transmitting components.
For this reason it is most important to check the thermal design and undertake stability testing, by using low-UV LED modules and testing the internal materials for resistance to UV. Most recent versions of ECE Regulations (link to: http://www.unece.org/trans/main/welcwp29.html) 6, 7, etc., require testing of signal lamps for one minute and photometric tests lasting thirty minutes in vehicles fitted with non-filament lamps. Specifically for LED modules, new ECE Regulation 112 introduces new measurements for testing color rendering, UV radiation and temperature stability.
Additionally, the regulations introduce more complex structures and new lighting “modes” for the testing of “smart” light systems. In a later version of ECE Regulations 112 and 123 require of mechanical, electromechanical and other devices for headlamps that alternately provide passing and driving beams or “bent” lighting, that they can withstand function failure tests and endurance tests. Different “modes” are defined for AFS, with class C, E, V or W for passing beam technologies where each system shall provide a Class C passing beam and one or more additional classes. Each class must also fulfill specific photometric requirements.

Enhancing LED Lighting: What is a reflective LED light?
Nowadays, LED lights [https://www.cnblight.com/products/] have become the mainstream of lighting. There is an interesting question, why do LED lights in homes nowadays, whether they are desk lamps, pendant lamps, ceiling lamps, etc., often need to add a lamp shell? You should know that LED lights emit solid light, unlike traditional lamps such as incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, which require a lamp shell on the outside.
There are many reasons that…
