Launch of XTRU-3D Printers announced by Phalanx Mechatronics LLP, Pune, India

Phalanx Mechatronics LLP was launched in Pune, India in 2020 with a mission to provide innovators, designers, students and hobbyists with high performance, reliable FDM 3D printing systems, materials and services. They also manufacture and supply CNC routers for prototyping using soft materials such as wood and aluminum. The company’s broad range of capabilities include bespoke manufacturing of special purpose machines (SPM) for a variety of applications such as leakage testing, work-Cell Automation, pharma tablet grinding & milling, pharma packaging & labelling, commercial cooking grills and baking machines.

The company offers XTRU-3D printers in three build volumes of 250, 350 & 500 mm and tested for reliability over 300 hours of constant use. The XTRU-3D range of printers have a full metal construction with original HIWIN Linear guides to provide precise and accurate movements with a long service life. The optional enclosure works like a charm while printing materials like ABS and Nylon. The main heart of the machine is a 32-bit controller with TMC2209 motor drivers providing quiet, fast and reliable 3D Prints. An automatic bed levelling probe ensures a good first layer every time!

Phalanx 3D printers are aimed for a large audience in the rapid prototyping market. They connect the gap between software design and actual construction by creating a 3D model. They are made for a broad range of fields of architecture & construction, mechanical engineering, agile tooling, consumer products such as apparel & home decor, education & art. The additive manufacturing process involves layers of polymers stacked on top of one another to build a model concept in 3D. In December 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information (MeitY) of the Government of India has revealed plans to promote 3D printing in India and Phalanx Mechatronics is in an optimum position to take advantage of these evolving provisions.
