“The store fights back” strategy workshop announced by The Imperative Group

London, UK, 1 May 2012 – With Screenmedia expo 2012 just around the corner (16-17 May, London’s Earls Court 2), Screen Events Ltd today announced that the education programme is finalised and available for viewing at www.screenevents.co.uk/screenexpo2012. Brand new on the roster is a free-to-attend strategy workshop provided by the Imperative Group. Entitled “The store fights back – energising the retail experience using screenmedia”, the workshop will feature expert contributions from HH Global and Openeye Global. In addition, London’s first-ever NFC Bootcamp™ is now open for pre-registration and The Screen is taking advance bookings for its 2nd annual LoveContent Awards ceremony.

New workshop: The store fights back
The Imperative Group, responsible for devising the 2012 education programme, recognised an opportunity to host a high value workshop at the expo to demonstrate how screenmedia can positively influence and contribute to the future of the retail store. Running on 17th May in Conference Room 1, 1.30-2.30pm, the workshop will be split into three sessions. Chris Heap, Managing Director of The Imperative Group will present “attract (the customer)”; Rob Schulkins, Head of Brand Campaign Strategy at HH Global will present “engage (with the customer)”; and Bryan Meszaros, Managing Director of Openeye Global will present “design (the experience)”.

Final programme and speaker line up
As always, the education programme at Screenmedia expo is a huge attraction and 2012 is no different with four, free-to-attend conference tracks on offer. As well as the keynote provided by Intel, the final programme features a further 25 cutting edge presentations from thought leaders and practitioners.

The speaker line up represents an exuberant mix of advertising agencies, media owners, media agencies, innovators and technologists. Topics to be covered include: Audience Impact, Augmented Reality, Dynamic Data, Connected Television, Content Management, Cross Channel Digital Retailing, Cloud Services, Experiences in Banking, Experiential Marketing, Media effectiveness, Impact of Mobile, Interactivity and User Interfaces.

London NFC Bootcamp opens for registration

OTA Training has announced that registration is now open for its first-ever London NFC Bootcamp™ Seminar Series, co-located with Screenmedia expo on 16-17 May. OTA, along with Merchant 360, will co-present the first globally standardised NFC series designed to educate attendees on how they can harness NFC technology to drive brand awareness. A special feature of the London NFC Bootcamp is a show floor NFC Showcase, where companies working in the NFC field will demonstrate to attendees from both the conference and the Bootcamp how this next-generation technology works. Interactive demonstrations will include digital billboards, virtual couponing and social media applications. Furthermore, NFC Meet Up London, one of Meet Up’s more than 2000 groups and communities, is inviting its members to visit the NFC Showcase at the end of day one, 16 May.

Celebrate the LoveContent Awards 2012
On 16th May, the 2nd Annual LoveContent Awards Ceremony will be held at a special evening drinks event at Screenmedia expo 2012. The LoveContent Awards will be celebrating another fantastic year of growth for the digital out-of-home and digital signage industries. Over the last 12 months, the digital landscape has grown exponentially, and more original campaign media has been created for more digital formats than ever before.
