TIVC Achieves ISO Certification with Zero Adverse Findings
ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized quality management system (QMS) that sets the standard for quality management principles, including strong customer focus, the commitment of top management, the process approach, evidence-based decision-making and continual improvement.
“We began this journey because we knew we were a great company, but we wanted a way to prove that to our customers,” said TIVC Founder and CEO Jean Ibañez Payne. “The process was not easy, and we’ve learned a lot to make us even better. I look forward to continuing to put the QMS principles into practice and see where it takes us.”

ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies. The organization began in 1946 with 65 delegates from 25 countries meeting to discuss the future of International Standardization. Today, ISO collaborates with over 700 international, regional and national organizations that take part in the standards development process.
Mireaux Management Solutions guided TIVC through the ISO process. “This has been one of my favorite projects to work on and I know it stems from the great environment that has been set at TIVC and the wonderful people on the team,” said Technical Writer Geno Duran.
The process required TIVC to document current procedures and results, define desired results, define and communicate a quality policy, and analyze which ISO 9001:2015 standard requirements were being met or not. Each person within the company had to adjust and adapt, even the simplest tasks, to this new system prior to the initial audit, and the company had to ensure full alignment leading up to the final audit—both conducted by ABS Quality Evaluations.
TIVC’s VP of Culture and Special Projects Michelle O. Smith served as certification project lead and worked with Mireaux and the TIVC management team to achieve the goals. “ISO 9001:2015 provides the structure and standards to take any company from good to great,” Smith said. “Implementing the quality management system was consistent with our longstanding commitment to exceed the expectations of our customers.”
ABS Quality Evaluations felt it was among the most well-planned and implemented systems sampled during an initial certification and found zero adverse findings during the audit. “The company has a very well-planned and implemented QMS that is suitable and effective at meeting applicable requirements, expected outcomes and method of operation,” stated the auditor.
“The internal audit and management review process covered the entire system and ensured any issues noted as nonconforming or in need of improvement were addressed and resolved effectively.”
The adoption of a standard QMS will improve customer satisfaction and overall performance.
