The NRA Restaurant Show - Restaurants Go Digital with Epicure Digital Menu Boards
Epicure Digital Systems, a leader in digital menu boards, presents the Epicure Digital Menu Board System with special emphasis on nutritional menu labeling at the NRA National Restaurant Show, 5-8 May 2012 in Chicago, Booth #1513Beverly Hills, CA, May 01, 2012 -- Visitors to the 2011 National Restaurant Association Show, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, 5-8 May, 2011 will have the opportunity to visit the Chicago’s Museum of Science & Industry, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Joliet Junior College and Central Dupage Hospital to view Epicure Digital Menu Systems with nutritional menu labeling.
Epicure Digital Systems will be exhibiting in booth #1513 at the show. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to view a large selection of digital menu boards featuring nutritional menu labeling.
Epicure Digital is revolutionizing the point of sale in restaurants with its digital menu system. “Epicure Digital designs customized digital menu boards that solve our client's complex menu engineering and point-of-sale marketing issues”, explained Harvey Friedman, Founder and President.
The nutritional labels used on the digital menu boards display as nutritional data, nutritional scoring, and icons representing food groups, healthy choices, allergens, vegan, vegetarian, local and organic, whichever and whenever are applicable. The Wildflower Cafe at the new 866,000-square-foot Elmhurst Memorial Hospital offers healthier food choices and is the latest addition to a growing list of area hospital cafeterias that serve up tasty, nutritious meals. When the Hospital decided to implement the Epicure Digital Menu Board System, "the plan was to offer more selections of food, healthier, and more cooked-to order food", said Dave Reeves, Director of Hospitality Services at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. "Each food station features a wide-screen LCD Epicure Digital Menu Board displaying its menu with nutritional data for calories, protein, carbs, sodium, fat, saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol. We wanted to display the nutritional content of our menu items so our customers would make the best menu selections for their individual needs. The Epicure system accomplishes this goal.” explained Mr. Reeves. "By creatively combining information and nutritional menu labeling with motion graphics and food photography, Epicure Digital produced visually compelling multimedia menus to help our customers make more informed nutritional choices and enhance their dining experience."
Epicure Digital is a Cisco Eco Partner and provides Cisco Digital Media Suite (DMS) compatible digital menu board solutions and utilizes the DMP 4400 players for the Cisco DMS Compatible menu board system.
