The Ostdeutsche Sparkassenakademie Relies on the Learning Suite from arvato Systems

New customer for the arvato Learning Suite

arvato Systems, Gütersloh, Germany – The Ostdeutsche Sparkassenakademie (East German Savings Bank Academy) became a new customer of the arvato Learning Suite (aLS) at the beginning of this year. The academy is now able to use this comprehensive training management software for planning and organizing 1,000 yearly events with a total of 26,000 participants.

“The arvato Learning Suite provides excellent technical support for all processes needed in day-to-day operations at the academy. This makes it the ideal management tool for all of our processes,” explains Sabine Lopp, Head of Event Management at the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenakademie (OSA). And these day-to-day operations are manifold: The OSA, as the central training facility of the Ostdeutscher Sparkassenverband (East German Savings Bank Association), provides the more than 26,000 employees of the East German Savings Banks ranging from administrative staff to upper level management with practical, career-oriented training. At the same time, the OSA offers a wide range of training options: over 1,000 events, including offerings ranging from one-day seminars to complete degree programs.

This diverse range of demanding training programs requires a powerful management tool to provide support to the academy’s 35 employees. For this reason, the OSA has been using training management software since 2009, which was created by a highly specialized e-learning company based in the southern part of Germany and further developed by arvato Systems into the arvato Learning Suite. The OSA was very impressed by this service portfolio from arvato Systems. Consequently, the OSA has commissioned arvato Systems to take over the continuous maintenance and support for its entire system for the next three years, effective as of 1 February 2012.
