Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc. Wins Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Nonprofit Organization of the Year Award

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc. is honored to be named the recipient of the 2012 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Nonprofit Organization of the Year award. The prestigious accolade was presented at the Annual Conference on Financial Education in Orlando, Florida.

The EIFLE Awards were introduced six years ago, to acknowledge innovation, dedication and the commitment of individuals and organizations that support financial literacy education worldwide.

“This year’s EIFLE Award winners have distinguished themselves from their peers with the depth and breadth of their accomplishments in promoting effective financial literacy education in the communities they serve,” said Leslie E. Linfield, Executive Director and Founder of the Institute for Financial Literacy. “They are a shining example for those whose quest it is to make financial literacy education available to all segments of society.”

The Institute for Financial Literacy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose mission is to promote effective financial education and counseling. The Institute received a record number of nominations this year and awarded an unprecedented 19 EIFLE Awards to recipients.

“The Nonprofit of the Year Award is a wonderful recognition of all our efforts over the years. We are dedicated to helping Americans become educated about their finances. We believe financial literacy education is the basis for a successful financial future,” said Howard Dvorkin, CPA and founder of Consolidated Credit.

The Annual Conference on Financial Education provides professional development opportunities for individuals who work with financial literacy education and offers attendees a critical networking event and the opportunity to learn about current trends, develop funding strategies and otherwise advance the cause of financial education.
