ATB Technologies Helps St. Vincent Home for Children Win a $92,000 Grant

Press release from: New North

/ PR Agency: New North
St. Louis, MO—St. Vincent Home for Children has won a $92,000 grant to upgrade their technology systems with the help of strategic IT consulting from ATB Technologies.

The grant, provided through the St. Louis Cares Humanitarian Response Program, will enable St. Vincent to revamp their technology assets to make their services remote-ready. The successful application was based on a technology assessment performed by ATB Technologies. St. Vincent will use the funds for new laptops and desktops for their employees, new tablets for their clients, new Wi-Fi drops to improve internet in their facilities, and to set up Microsoft Teams to make communications easier.

These updates are critical. As the COVID-19 pandemic began, St. Vincent found itself hard-pressed to continue providing mental health services for youth in need. Their technology systems weren’t well-suited for remote work. A technology assessment performed by ATB Technologies found that 37 of the 43 technology assets owned by the nonprofit were out of date.

Thankfully, the funds acquired with ATB’s help will allow for critical updates. For an organization that’s spent over 170 years serving its community, receiving the funding to continue serving into the future is a just reward.

“The grant program actually told me that working with a specialist helped us to win the award,” said Steve Martinez, Chief Development Officer at St. Vincent. “It was really important that we partnered with ATB.”

“We’re honored to partner with St. Vincent in helping them accomplish their mission through the strategic use of technology,” said Chris Miller, Vice President at ATB Technologies. “We look forward to helping them support youth in St. Louis for years to come.”
