Workforce management platform Sirenum adds eleven new members of staff as it looks to Europe and US expansion
Over the last month, Sirenum, a leading cloud-based software provider for workforce management, has made eleven new hires to further the expansion of the company in Europe and the US.By 2025, the workforce management market will be worth $9.3 billion and with the increased reliance on e-commerce, the number of people employed to support this sector - often on a shift basis in warehouse and distribution centres - is set to increase. In the United Kingdom (UK) alone, a yearly average of 188 thousand individuals were employed by warehouse and storage facilities in the UK with this number growing each year.
Staff management of large workforces causes headaches for employers who need to fill shifts with workers who have the right skillset, training, and availability for a particular job. This is where workforce management (WFM) software can offer a solution and even improve efficiencies. The right WFM software can improve productivity, reduce costs by preventing more resources being spent than necessary and free up management time, as well as increase engagement with shift workers by giving them ownership and access to their work schedule and pay through a mobile app.
“We’re delighted to welcome so many new team members to the Sirenum family. Effective workforce management can have a transformative impact on companies thanks to its ability to streamline scheduling, compliance, and monitoring, and provide analytics on utilisation rates and more.” Said Benjamin Rubin, CEO and founder of Sirenum.
“Our team’s unrivalled knowledge of workforce management processes has also shaped the platform from the start to enable us to create a best in breed solution. And it’s this competitive edge and our sector agnostic approach, which puts us in this fortunate position to expand our team and provide opportunities to those who may have recently faced redundancy. Although I know our HR department and the rest of the team have made our new recruits feel welcome, I do still look forward to the day that the entire company will be able to celebrate our growth and future together in person.”
Sirenum prides itself on recruiting those who have extensive experience in staffing or shift-based industries. Joining the Professional Services team are Anastasia Gklantzouni and Ilse Scullion. Gklantzoun worked as an analyst for STA Travel for six years and has experience in a variety of analytical roles ranging from global operations to revenue and accounting and travel management. Scullion has worked in the recruitment industry for over 12 years, with experience across a wide range of sectors including heavy engineering, green technology, automotive, F&B and logistics. Also joining is Emily King, whose previous role was as a Robotic Process Automation Consultant, working with organisations to develop and implement RPA solutions.
Sirenum has expanded its Research and Development team with the hire of Thomas Haynes, who recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a 1st in Mathematics. Another graduate developer joining the team is Thayna Dorneles who graduated with a 1st in Computer Science from the University of Leeds.
Joining the sales team are Jamie Mullett, who has worked in recruitment since 2010 for blue chip companies and start-ups, Amelie Pellerin, previously at The Instant Group who has over eight years of experience in both Sales and Recruitment, Jordan Riley previously with Berkeley Scott who has experience in hospitality and technology recruitment and Matthew Sims whose previous roles include ACD Direct and The Creative Engine where clients included Google, Microsoft, John Lewis & Partners and more.
