Chicago Trade Show Display Dealer, Tradetec Skyline Recognized for Two International Design Awards
March 2012-- The Marshall Johnson Exhibit Design Contest recognizes the best trade show exhibits designed and sold by Skyline Dealers worldwide for 2011. Skyline awarded 6 prizes for categories of different sized exhibits, and for designs using two of Skyline’s latest, popular custom modular exhibit systems. Each designer was asked to provide case studies in addition to their entries about the unique challenges their clients faced and how they were able to solve their problems with the exclusive exhibit design presented. The Tradetec employee winners chosen were:
Kelly Blake, Creative Director from Tradetec won for Best Large Island Exhibit over 400 square feet. Her exhibit design targeted a challenge that the customer had regarding floor space and location of their booth on the show floor. Their goal was to increase brand awareness with a show stopping booth that would stand out and get noticed. Kelly created an exhibit that allowed flow and style that worked well. AV demonstration areas, high tower walls, large logo hanging sign and private meeting space – all apparent key components that the client needed for an effective display. The exhibits LED lights and bright fabric colors caught attention with a complimentary structure that enabled the client to be seen from all areas of the show floor.
Alex Karan, Senior Designer from Tradetec won for the Best Envoy trade show exhibit solution. The Envoy® system is a new custom modular exhibit program from Skyline. Its sleek frame, rounded corners and concealed fabric connection system - FlexLock™ - give it an elegant, custom look. Alex took on the challenge of creating two full flexible exhibits for a 30’ x 125’ foot space and 20’x 40’ foot space by incorporating the Envoy program as well as custom solutions. The client had been using a 10-year old panel system that was bulky, heavy and needed to be updated. They were seeking a fresh look for their audience, construction that works as a re-configurable structure to accommodate various floor plans and a display that encompasses a traditional bookstore environment along with an interactive user interface for their online and digital product lines. The exhibit was tailored to reflect the wants of the client, with warm rich colors, comfortable lounge areas, interactive kiosks and an inlaid carpet path that gave a flow of direction through the exhibit from the front entrance to the cashiers counter.
“We are excited that two of our talented designers won the Marshall Johnson Awards,” said Ken Buckman, CEO of Tradetec Skyline. “The contest displays the type of consistency and training our designers receive from Skyline and the desire we have at Tradetec to solve our customer’s challenges for their brand and show objectives. With each phase of a trade show, from design to I&D to post show marketing, we want our clients to experience the performance we deliver which is the true fabric of Tradetec.”
The Marshall Johnson Awards are named in honor of Marshall Johnson, a Skyline designer whose creativity and client focus exemplified the high level of customer service for which all of Skyline aims.
