The USA BMX National series stops at 32 major cities in the U.S. throughout the 11 month season.

April 10, 2012 – Gilbert, Arizona:
.
The fastest Amateur BMX racers in the country will descend upon Monroe, Louisiana and the Ike Hamilton Expo Center for the ninth stop in the 2012 USA BMX National Series. Friday through Sunday, April 27 thru 29th, some of the fastest bicycle motocross racers in the World will be competing for the weekend's wins, as well as compiling points for the end of the year Championship.
.
With London's Olympic Games just around the corner - which includes BMX racing for the second time ever, this USA BMX event is full of top amateur racers whose ultimate dream is to someday compete in the Olympics 4, 8 and even 12 years from now. Thanks in part to the global exposure that the Olympics have brought, the sport of BMX racing continues to grow in numbers and popularity with todays youth.

As the largest extreme sport in the nation, BMX racing is full of nonstop action. Up to eight riders speed down the starting hill to the first obstacle and race around the track maneuvering over dirt obstacles and around banked turns in hopes of gaining a spot on the podium. On average, each race is a 35 second sprint, with full contact, close-knit racing - sometimes with chillling crashes, and always with thrilling victories. This Olympic sport is exciting to watch for all ages!

These riders range in age from 3 to 76 and will be racing to amass points for titles in their age classes and the highly coveted ABA No.1 Amateur title for boys and girls. It is anticipated that the weekend will see over 800 racers each day, attracting thousands of fans and spectators to the Ike Hamilton Expo.
.
The action begins on Friday with practice throughout the afternoon and a pre-race in the evening. Saturday morning continues with more practice and National racing kicks off at 1:00pm. On Sunday, the action begins at 8:00am.
