April 10, 2012 – LOS ANGELES, CA – Nu Flow is the only company in the world that could rehabilitate the failing pipes in the prestigious Century Plaza Towers without causing destruction to the office space, closure to one of the world’s largest underground parking garages below the buildings or disruption to the busy tenants. Nu Flow’s one-of-a-kind, flow-through technology was part of the innovative solution that prevented damage to these heavily trafficked skyscrapers and allowed all of their pipe systems to operate during the necessary repairs.

The 10”-wide and 12”-wide sanitary pipes that were rehabilitated are located in the ceilings of the commercial buildings’ lobbies, offices and the shared underground parking garage. The customer expressed the need to have all pipe systems operational during the lining process, and Nu Flow is the only company in the world that could grant the customer’s requests, thanks to our in-place renewal technologies.

These innovative solutions include Nu Flow’s patented Pull-in-Place structural liner and Nu Flow’s one-of-a-kind flow-through liner, which form protective barriers inside the host pipes. If the customer chose a traditional repipe over our in-situ technology, the result would have been severely inconvenient for tenants and financially devastating to the property. Nu Flow’s repair was also the most cost-effective solution, saving the customer approximately 60% compared to a repipe.

These twin 44-story commercial buildings, designed by Minoru Yamasaki, the same man who designed the World Trade Center in New York, are extremely recognizable and are some of the tallest buildings in southern California. Built in 1975, these buildings sit above one of the world’s largest underground parking garages.
