Moving SAP to the Cloud – Virtustream and fluidOps announce new cloud solutions

Walldorf, Germany – Virtustream, a leading enterprise cloud solution provider and certified SAP Cloud Service provider, and fluid Operations (fluidOps), a leading provider of cloud and data management solutions based on semantic technologies, have entered into an agreement to jointly offer enterprise class SAP cloud solutions. Through this partnership, both companies will offer a new joint solution using their combined SAP experience, Virtustream’s enterprise class cloud platform, xStream, and fluidOps’ eCloudManager.

Virtustream’s xStream platform was purpose built to address the exacting requirements of enterprise customers as they move their IT and applications to the cloud. xStream is an enterprise class cloud solution to manage private, virtual private, public and hybrid clouds. xStream delivers application level SLAs, and supports multiple hypervisors. xStream is also the industry's first cloud solution to use µVMTM (micro-VMTM) technology. µVM provides efficiency significantly beyond traditional virtualization and enables a true consumption based pricing model. xStream guarantees the performance and efficiency of SAP applications in the cloud. The fluidOps eCloudManager solution complements the xStream solution by adding SAP landscape management capabilities.

The fluidOps eCloudManager provides customers with a Landscape as a Service (LaaS)® concept for SAP enterprise applications providing innovative Virtual Landscape management solutions that use powerful technologies to monitor and manage SAP systems and landscapes, as well as to create copies and perform automated, rapid SAP deployments. This reduces the time needed to provision new SAP landscapes from days or hours to minutes.

Virtustream has over 50 SAP clients with hundreds of SAP instances running on xStream today. These clients will now have the added benefit of being able to manage whole SAP landscapes as opposed to instances, whether they are running SAP in their own private clouds or running them on a Virtustream virtual private cloud.
