The Marketing Alliance (TMA) Selects George Williams, LLB, as the 2012 Billy Vogel Award Recipient

March 28, 2012 (St. Louis) - The Marketing Alliance (TMA), one of the largest organizations providing support to independent life insurance brokerage agencies, recently named George Williams, LLB, of Memphis, TN, as the 2012 Billy Vogel Award recipient at its annual meeting in Charleston, SC.

The Billy Vogel Award, an honor bestowed by TMA, is presented annually to individuals in the financial services industry who distinguish themselves through their business acumen, sense of innovation and, above all, integrity. The award is named for William E. (Billy) Vogel, the late president of W.S. Vogel Agency, Inc. of Livingston, NJ, who exemplified all of those qualities.

In the early 1960s, Williams and his partner, Jack Gillespie, founded one of the earliest life brokerage general agencies, Executive Underwriters, in Memphis. He is a past President of SUBCenters, the nation's oldest organization of independent life insurance brokerage agencies, and continues to serve as an Executive Director.
