Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning Founder, CEO and President Earns 2012 “40 under 40”

(LAKEWOOD, COLO.) - Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning® has become one of the nation’s fastest growing, environmentally-friendly carpet cleaning franchises. The company has received recognition by Entrepreneur magazine in their “Franchise 500” four times running. This past year, the franchise earned two distinctions in the Inc. 500/5000. Now, the franchise’s 32 year old founder, President and CEO, Jonathan Barnett has received an accolade for all of his professional achievements. Barnett was named one of 2012’s “40 under 40” by the Denver Business Journal.

Rising stars under age 40 are selected based upon business leadership, recognition of accomplishments and community involvement. Jonathan has been actively involved the community since 2001. While still in college, Barnett launched the non-profit, international basketball organization, Crossover International, to motivate and inspire youth throughout the globe. The organization has toured numerous countries and hosted free camps where they mentor kids ages 6-18 and teach them the fundamentals of basketball. Barnett also holds an annual day camp at the Mount View Detention Center. Just over a year ago, Barnett also launched the Crossover Basketball Academy, a year-long program designed to provide domestic at-risk youth a safe, challenging after-school environment. In this program, students are tutored and receive both life coaching and basketball training.

The “40 under 40” applicant pool is getting ever more competitive. More than 300 people applied for this year’s 40 spots. That number is an increase of more than 100 contenders over last year.
