Venus Williams Stars at V*Starr Interiors Model Debut at One Thousand Ocean

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The RSVPs kept coming up until the final minute, as One Thousand Ocean – the much-talked-about Atlantic-to-Intracoastal condominium at the Boca Raton Inlet – hosted an elegant soiree to celebrate the grand opening of a new model residence designed by V*Starr Interiors. The Jupiter, Florida-based design firm was founded by tennis icon Venus Williams, who was the special guest of honor.

In addition, Serena Williams was on hand to see her sister’s talents off the court. She was impressed with the four-bedroom, four and one-half bath model that she toured for the first time, along with approximately 300 guests.

Visits to the V*Starr model took place throughout the evening while the paparazzi caught the action on camera. Simultaneously, the Noreen Downey Trio performed and guests enjoyed savory hors d’oeuvres, bubbly and other spirits in One Thousand Ocean’s largest penthouse, which is also available for purchase.

“V*Starr’s model is absolutely beautiful and is in keeping with our prospective purchasers’ discerning tastes. We won’t be surprised if this will sell, furnished, very quickly,” said Jamie Telchin, president of development with LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed the 52-unit, boutique building that is nearly 80% sold.

The asking price for the furnished model is $6,450,000.

It has something special about it and I immediately felt at home. With fabulous views of the ocean and Intracoastal, our intent was to complement the luxury that people associate with Boca Raton. We also brought the outside in using a lot of ice and sea blue colors. The model feels ‘beachy’ while still being elegant.”
