Sanjiv Rai in Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum

Sanjiv Rai, the Founder and Chairperson of ARE Technologies has been honoured as Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum . An innovator and a serial entrepreneur, Sanjiv Rai has led several $ multi-million commercializations globally. After leading as the Principal Investigator for the CHANDRA project for NASA towards setting up communication Infrastructure on the moon for permanent lunar outpost, he returned to India with a social calling. His initiatives AceWP Innovation Labs and BillionInnovators aim to unleash innovation in young minds. The initiative provides ideation and incubation of products and services into becoming startups through uniquely run Innovation-cum-incubation centers - the least overhead incubation model in the world. The motivation behind designing such incubation model is to make the outreach possible in far flung areas through a social enterprise model.

The initiatives are aimed to transform India into an innovation driven country. ARE Technologies is setting up AceWP Innovation labs throughout the country. AceWP Innovation Labs are unique learning labs that help learners produce tangible Innovation as the outcome of the learning process. AceWP labs facilitates learners to go through an immersive experience in various Wireless technologies making it live, innovation driven experience that encourages students to build creative applications.

Starting his education journey from a remote rural village to the best universities in the world, Rai feels from his experiences that the Innovation mindset exists from rural to urban areas. According to him, it is the channeling into productive activity and the lack of Innovation ecosystem in India that is the biggest impediment in sustainable growth. His initiatives help fill in the necessary ecosystem to promote Innovative Skills training and channeling the outcomes into tangible products and services through an incubation process.
