Smart Lighting specialist Innr launches optimized Zigbee LED spots with GU10

The new Smart-Spots from the Dutch manufacturer can be used wirelessly in any lamp with a GU10 fitting. The LEDs are wireless dimmable and voice-controlled and can be operated independently of the manufacturer in Zigbee networks, for example with those of Philips Hue.

For the consumer, there are a number of important changes in the design of the RS 226 compared to the previous model RS 225. The new single lens produces more even and thus more natural light. The result is more pleasant and harmonious lighting through the use of this so-called COB technology.

In addition, the new design is smaller and 23 grams lighter. The dimming range has also been changed, which is now at least 2 percent, making the new smart spots ideal for use as night lighting, for example.

Innr co-founder Jeroen Dalderop explains the improvements as follows:

“In terms of technical data, the innovations may not be a big difference at first glance, but they are based on what Innr customers particularly appreciate: a perfectly lit living space.

As we hear again and again from customers about our Flex Light LED strip FL 120 C, uniform lighting is particularly appreciated. Innr's products differ from those of the competition in this respect and this has inspired us to optimize the GU10 LED lamp with COB technology. Customers will appreciate the particularly balanced lighting result of the RS 226.”

An Innr bridge is required to control the LED lighting via the app. Alternatively, the smart bulbs can also be controlled with a Zigbee bridge from Philips Hue and Samsung SmartThings. No separate bridge is required with the Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Show (2nd gen). The smart lighting from Innr is suitable for voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant.

The RS 226 lights emit the light at a beam angle of 36 degrees, the colour temperature is 2700 Kelvin. Each LED has a power consumption of 4.8 watts and is designed to burn an average of 25,000 hours. The maximum light output is 350 lumens, of which GU10 lamps are known to be preferred in practice as dimmed mood lighting.

A package with four spot lights is offered for the market launch.

A variant with two spot lights will follow in mid-October. RS 226-4 is now available for a price of 54.99 euros. RS 226-2 costs 27.99 euros.

The new products for GU10 lamps will be available from the beginning of September at relevant online stores and specialty stores.
