Office Boutique Unveils New Heritage Pen Collection
On 1st March it is St. David’s Day in Wales and on 17th March, it is St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland. Office Boutique, an online stationery and business gifts retailer launches a new pen range to tie in with these national days and which also celebrate the rich heritage of these 4 countries.
Making ideal gifts for visitors or as an elegant stationery accessory for the office these decorative pens embody each country within the United Kingdom and tie in with two of the National Days in March.
A Red Dragon features on a silver pen for Wales, the Red Dragon was the battle standard of King Arthur and it is also associated with Welsh poetry. For England, a Tudor Rose design – this was the design originally chosen by King Henry VIII following the completion of the War of the Roses; it represented the coming together of the White Rose of York and the Red Rose of Lancaster.
The lucky green shamrock is featured on the Irish Pen; the shamrock represented for St. Patrick the doctrines of the Trinity and in modern times has come to symbolise good luck. For Scotland, the design of the pen is a classic tartan, a Royal Stewart clan design.
