BACKGROUND

Some years ago the International Standardization Organization (ISO) has published the ISO 22716 document on Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetic products. Meanwhile several regulatory bodies around the globe have announced their commitment to adopt the ISO 22716 quality guidance document to introduce this into their regions of authority. More specifically, the EU has recently published a new regulation 1223/2009 where it is clearly stated that organizations need to have this implemented by 2013. Several individual member states within the EU are now making manufacturers of cosmetic products aware of this requirement. Importers of cosmetics products into the EU need to comply with a quality structure conforming GMP as well.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This webinar will be most of interest to those that have a general interest in the GMP quality aspects of Cosmetic products. More specifically, personnel that are working in or are associated with manufacturing facilities engaged in the production and control and interested to learn more about and/or create a quality structure following the guidance for Good Manufacturing Practices. Typically, quality, regulatory, manufacturing personnel, and general management will take benefit from this webinar presentation.

Dr. de Boer has a background in chemistry and has many years of experience in Good Manufacturing Practices in different roles in Manufacturing and Quality. At SGS, he is responsible for the third party auditing and training programs on GMP to support quality management in the Cosmetics industry.
