Lazaraga Gold Resources LTD. Sees Xinjiang China Record High

China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region for gold production hits its record-high volume of 12.1 tons during 2011. The figures were gathered by LAZ from the Gold Administration Bureau of Xinjiang that was released last week showing the output last year that increased by 15.18 percent from 2010. In 2011, LAZ information from the China Gold Association, gold consumption of China reached 761.05 tons representing a rise of 33 percent on a year-on-year basis.

Xinjiang has seen eight consecutive years of increasing gold production as a major gold production area of the world’s largest producer of gold. This 2012, Xinjiang is expected to produce about 14 tons of gold and also an increase of more than 15 percent.

Xinjiang had six gold enterprises with a yearly production of more than 500kg and 20 gold enterprises with production of more than 100kg and it has become the priority investment choice for the local large gold enterprises of China. The forecasted gold resource amount of Xinjiang is 207.48 tons. The province has more than 600 gold mine sites and 28 metallogenic gold mine belts.
