While the COVID-19 pandemic has put a temporary halt to his live performance career, which started in 2018, the savvy songwriter has made good use of the situation, stating: “People are mostly on their phones due to the lockdown. I am taking advantage of that by being consistent with my uploads on social media and taking requests and suggestions from people to grow my audience further and strengthen the bond.”

It's not the first time that Loay's creativity and willingness to put himself out there has paid dividends. He explains that his interest in learning to play the guitar was purely coincidental: “I bought the guitar back in 2015, solely to be used as décor in my bedroom. It was never my intention to play it, but I picked it up out of boredom and was shocked to find that I could learn to play the instrument in just two or three weeks.”
