FSPro Labs releases data protection software enabling users to hide and lock folders on external or removable disks
FSPro Labs today announced the release of Hide Folder Ext, new software for protecting files on external disks. At this time, Hide Folder Ext is the only commercially available solution to hide and lock folders on external disks."You can find about dozen of great folder hiding software solutions on the market, but all of them are intended to protect data on internal hard drives", says Michael Karsyan, FSPro Labs CEO. "Before Hide Folder Ext, the only way to protect files on external volumes was data encryption, which was not always appropriate. Now Hide Folder Ext lets users to hide folders on external or removable drives, and does it in no time".
Protecting data on external drives is a really important security task. If a user stores sensitive files on a USB flash drive, the data could be easily disclosed if the drive was lost or stolen. Hide Folder Ext can hide a folder on such drives and lock access to it with a password.
As for the user interface of Hide Folder Ext, it is extremely easy to work with. It is implemented as a "wizard". The program guides user from disk selection to the final screen in such a way that it is impossible to do anything wrong.
Hide Folder Ext is fully portable software. It is possible to copy it to external disk which contains the protected folder. So the authorized user will be able to access hidden files from any computer.
