IQPS – Office Pro’s Organisation Leaps through 50th Hoop in Olympian Style

The UK’s leading association for office professionals, IQPS, is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style and has its sights set on the future, introducing a range of innovations for members. On July 7, against the spectacular backdrop of One Whitehall Place in London, speaker sessions include author Ken Taylor, who will discuss the challenge of multicultural offices, followed by Olympian, Roger Black MBE, a leading speaker on motivation.

IQPS National Chairman, Linda Barton commented, “We have seen dramatic changes in the office environment over the last 50 years. The next 50 promises even more rapid and perhaps far reaching changes. IQPS will continue to lead the way, helping to support and raise the standards and professionalism of office staff.”

The anniversary event is open to IQPS members and guests and can be booked online at iqps.org. Following the Chairman’s introduction, Ken Taylor, author of ‘The Vital Link’ will reveal what it takes to be successful in the 21st century global village. Inspiring on the track and off the track, Roger Black is now one of Britain’s most sought after motivational speakers. He will share his vision of what it takes to triumph as an individual and as a team member.

One Whitehall Place is part of the architecturally and historically famous Royal Horseguards Hotel. “This is a truly magnificent setting. Following the day’s events, members and their guests will be able to relax and enjoy the evening entertainment and dinner in the finest of London venues,” enthused Linda Barton.

In addition to the event, the 50th year sees more forward facing developments. A new magazine, ‘Office Professional’ will be launched. The IQPS web site has been given a fresh appearance and adds an interactive member’s area. Events are now easy to book securely online. Better navigation quickly gets both members and general visitors to the information they want.

The IQPS aims of the association include assisting office professionals to achieve excellence in the workplace and raising professional standards through continuing professional and personal development. The IQPS’ CPD programme is the acknowledged benchmark for higher levels of training and attainment and allows office workers to further their potential.
