Concrete Show India 2012 - The Leading Exhibition and Conference on Concrete Technology

Mumbai, February 2012: Concrete Show India 2012 will be held for the first time in the fast growing, commercial hub of India. The event taking place at the MMRDA Ground, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai from 23 - 25 February 2012. According to the report titled Urban Infrastructure, India’s population is slated to grow to 170 crore by 2050 and rapid urbanisation will add nearly 90 crore people to Indian cities. And in just over a decade from now, nearly 50 crore Indians will need new urban homes and also a proper infrastructure development.

The growth of the industry has mainly come from the increased spending in the infrastructure sector in the 11th plan, which is now proposed to be doubled in the forthcoming 12th Plan (2012-2017). The investment made in this sector in 11th Plan was around 20 lakh crore.
