Invitation to the 8th OMN Innovation Day [digital] on 16 and 17

apollon, leading software provider for marketing automation and product data communication, is consistently focusing on digitalization and is bringing the 8th OMN Innovation Day to the digital stage. On 16 and 17 September 2020, decision-makers from trade and industry are cordially invited to virtually experience the exclusive event all about omnichannel marketing. In compact online sessions, each from 10:00 - 12:00, the participants can expect innovations around product data, marketing channels and digital business models. This year, special attention will be paid to OMN5 - the current release of the successful marketing software Online Media Net (OMN).

OMN5 - Customer Release Party

The online event will be opened by Norbert Weckerle, CEO of apollon and Tobias Marks, Director Sales of apollon, with the presentation "OMN5 - Customer Release Party". The well-rehearsed duo will present the current version "OMN5" for the first time live to a broad audience. The presentation will cover the completely revised user interface of OMN as well as the integrated editors within the modules (such as PIM, Product Information Management or MAM, Media Asset Management). A further highlight will be OMN AI, which enables various AI services for maximum automation. The presentation will be rounded off by the technologies used in OMN5. These include the search engine "Elasticsearch", the workflow technology "Camunda" and EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) for the integration of various business applications.

Tailor-made via 3D configurator: Individual product experiences!

After a short break, the customer presentation "Tailor-made via 3D configurator: Individual product experiences" by HELLMUT RUCK will follow. With around 7,000 products, 250 employees and its own school for podiatry, RUCK is a leading and innovative manufacturer, specialist dealer, trainer and consultant for podiatry, foot care, cosmetics and wellness. Cindy Grasmüller, Head of Marketing | e-commerce at HELLMUT RUCK, will present the recently implemented 3D configurator together with Christian Bodem, Teamleader Project/Consulting and member of the management board at apollon. The 3D configurator enables RUCK's customers to configure and purchase products for practice equipment such as cabinets, chairs and special furniture directly in the online shop. Participants of the 8th OMN Innovation Day will be able to personally experience in the presentation how customer-specific products are realised at RUCK and how all equipment variants can be rendered and visualised in real time.

Cross-system workflows - process as the measure of all things

On the second day Johannes Haas, Director Consulting / Product Management & Authorized Signatory at apollon, will open the 8th OMN Innovation Day [digital]. In his lecture "Cross-system workflows - process as the measure of all things" Haas will explain how information is created from data and why a new way of thinking is necessary: system and solution connections instead of pure products. This is because the interaction of digital actors and the respective processes creates interactions in which data must be exchanged across systems. And for data to be communicated as information, it must be bundled, processed and evaluated. To make sure that it doesn't remain just theory, Haas will also go into practice and use an exemplary and cross-system digital workflow to demonstrate how data in OMN5 is combined into new information in a task-oriented manner. And by integrating the leading workflow solution "CAMUNDA" as well as innovative search technology and AI-based services into OMN5, he will also show how OMN creates new perspectives for future business processes.

OMN Roadmap 2021

The 8th OMN Innovation Day will be concluded by Oliver Baum, Authorized Signatory and Director OMN Product of apollon and Xuetao Li, Enterprise Architect/Solution Designer and member of the management board of apollon, with their joint presentation on the OMN Roadmap 2021. Participants will receive exclusive insights and flashes of light into the innovations planned in OMN in the future. Special attention will be paid to the OMN Accelerator, in addition to multi-editing and viewers. This is the future standard version of OMN. Baum and Li will show how the basic platform combines all the modules and functions that marketers need for successful omnichannel marketing and how quickly and easily it can be implemented.
