Micro Sessions at JEOL

Micro Sessions at JEOL

Live slots, remote demos or on-demand webinars, as a manufacturer of high-tech electron microscopes and analytical systems for research and industry, JEOL is increasing its focus on digital networking now. On July 17th, 2020, JEOL Germany is launching its new digital series “Micro Sessions” in English, in which current research topics and system demonstrations will be broadcasted live from the demo laboratory at the German location in Freising to the world wide web.

A team of 6 JEOL application specialists will give tips for high-precision and efficient work on modern electron microscopes for the first time on July 10th with weekly following new slots. The first online series of topics in this year´s summer is divided into a general introductory part on the advantages of scanning electron microscopy, a second slot for residual dirt analysis and a slot three for technical cleanliness and gunshot residue. The slots, which are moderated in tandem, are offered live in German and English and show practical techniques and benefits of modern analytical methods. As part of the embedded Q&A expert group, the application specialists will answer the questions asked by the participants/viewers. Participation in the Micro Session series is free of charge for users. Pre-registration for the three individual slots in English is available via the accreditation URL at
By actively linking best practice examples with a respective live presentation on the modern JEOL electron microscopy systems, partially controlled by questions from the registered online audience from materials science, life science and industry, with the new format " Micro Sessions” JEOL provides digital insights into the world of microscopy and sets new impulses in an interactive openness, true to the slogan of the Japanese high-tech company “Solutions for Innovation”. Further formats with a high degree of user orientation are expected to follow online and offline. In the future, JEOL will also offer individual training courses tailored to the special questions of customers from natural sciences, medicine, materials science, semiconductor technology, automotive or aerospace remotely and on site at the in-house academy in Freising.
