Santana Equipment Hires Intern After Great Connection

Santana Equipment Headquarters (North Chicago) has been doing internships for many years. Through these they have found and molded some incredible talent. Alex Ortega is the newest find from this great business learning program. When asked about his internship Alex responds, “The key that stuck with me was to learn from as many different people within the business as possible. By doing this you create a deeper understanding of what you are doing from multiple angles. Which in turn teaches you how to do it better.” Alex will be applying this to his new roll as a Sales representative, in charge of selling and purchasing forklifts and equipment for the company’s East coast and Midwest operations.
Returning to a company after completing an internship brings up a big question, what is it that brought you back? “Feeling comfortable with the management team, I loved how honest they were with me, and the trust they put in me as an intern made me excited to come back as an employee,” responds Alex. His belief in this company is very strong as Alex begins to grow in his roll and learn more about the industry. He eventually would like to be promoted into a Regional Sales Manager position with his own team that he can pass his knowledge on to.
