Consulus Extraordinary Global School 2020: With Others - Defining our Exceptional Way of Service
Singapore, 19 June 2020 – Consulus has conducted its 4th global school with over 56 members from 20 countries. The 3-day event convened members from the global network to discuss how COVID-19 has changed the consulting industry and the need to redefine ways of engagement and introduce new solutions that can enable the firm to continue to help small enterprises at risks, while continuing to serve MNCs and governments. The annual company-wide event was held online for the first time from the 17th June 2020 to 19th June 2020, bringing together a global network from 20 countries including Brazil, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, India, Italy, Lebanon, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Scotland, Slovakia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, United States of America and Vietnam. The event brought together individuals from a multiplicity of disciplines such as business, finance, education, marketing, information technology, coaching, urban planning, human resource and design, to collectively discuss the current landscape and to build a new strategic vision for the future of consulting and redefine methods of engagement in these volatile times.
“This week has been a historic one for our consultancy. Our Extraordinary Global School, all online, is particularly important this year as we have transitioned our exceptional way of service to more digital and online services. But what will never change is that our way of working with our clients and partners is human—considering each person and company as unique.”, said Jim Funk, Chairman of Consulus Global Network.
“I consider this year’s Consulus Extraordinary Global School as a major milestone in the journey of Consulus. After the founding of Consulus in Europe and in Slovakia last year and the first projects successfully delivered, we also had the largest number of participants from Europe joining the Global School. In the context of this COVID-19 crisis, we mark a new impetus in growth and consolidation strategy in worldwide collaboration and coordination, which will help us serve better our customers and journey with them, together with them in this challenging times which bring everyone to scrutinise once again the purpose and physiognomy of their entrepreneurial or organisational existence.”, said Stanislav Lencz, Regional Director of Consulus Europe and Country Director of Consulus Slovakia.
“The Consulus Extraordinary Global School was a unique and motivating experience which showed us how people in diversity can bring about a new revolution - a revolution that transforms humanity’s vision into a personal vision and mission. Meeting so many like-minded people in a global network was an enriching experience. I am privileged to be part of Consulus family and would love to share the spirit that unites with one goal: Unity with Humility and Love of ‘The Other’ at its Core”, said Saviola Fernandes from India.
“Finding a purpose in life is key! Finding the purpose of a company was a discovery for me and I totally agree companies should find it in order to make the world better. By focusing on this point and on unity, we can be different consultants who leave behind better systems that are applicable and that contribute to shaping a better world. If we work that way, people will "leave the room shaken" as the CEO of Consulus says.”, said Yoanna-Maria Najjar from Lebanon.
Consulus, committed to promoting a culture of giving has been amplifying its giving initiatives especially during the peak of COVID-19. This year, in lieu of registration fees for the Extraordinary Global School, the global network donated to the WHO and IFRC towards COVID-19 relief efforts. The total giving for 2019 to 2020 across the global network is valued at USD 383,395.84 cumulatively, consisting of direct donations to the WHO and Red Cross, four fully-sponsored projects, four Economy of Communion (EoC) subsidised projects for organizations that generate a positive impact, and complimentary COVID-19 consultation for 43 Small Medium Enterprises in seven different countries.
