Nano Med Tech Researchers Develop Application to Improve Antibiotics
Nano Med Tech researchers are developing multi-chambered nanoparticles that are attracted to infected cells but harmless to healthy tissues. When integrated into antibiotics, they will make the drugs much more effective by ensuring that they reach only those cells in need of treatment. As the particles have been specifically engineered to penetrate through the bacterial cell membranes, researchers are confident that these new drugs should be far more effective
Newly Engineered “Mimic” Nanoparticles to Aid Cancer Treatment Say Researche …
Nanoparticles “impersonating” red blood cells will be able to fool the immune system and deliver their payload of cancer-disolving drugs directly to a tumor, say researchers at Shanghai’s Nano Med Tech. The researchers, led by Dr. Xiao Yan Fat, say that they have developed a method that of taking the membrane off of a red blood cell and wrapping it like a disguise around a biodegradable nanoparticle packing with a specific
Molded and Reshaped Nanoparticles to Aid in Medical Treatment, Say Nano Med Tech …
A process to mold multifaceted shapes into nanoparticles has been discovered by a team of researchers at Shanghai’s Nano Med Tech. The modified chemical process hollows particles into shapes including three dimensional boxes and honeycomb-like multi-chambered shapes. The researchers were confident that this process can be refined to create increasingly complex shapes which could revolutionize medical diagnosis and treatment. "We are already able to control the process to the extent that
