June 1st, 2020 | Ontario, CA - The Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce Tourism Organization and Driftscape, a Canada based tech start-up, are pleased to announce their partnership.

Through this partnership Brockville will display its many historic landmarks and attractions via the Driftscape app, helping people explore the city in a more engaging and unique way. The partnership also helps the city's tourism during the COVID era, by creating virtual adventures across Brockville for its visitors to go on - helping maintain the social distancing and isolation norms while driving awareness about the city's highlights.

"As the organization responsible for Tourism in the City of Brockville, our goal is to promote all that Brockville has to offer and help our visitors find everything in Brockville when they arrive." Says Pam Robertson, Executive Director of the Chamber. "We are thrilled that the Driftscape APP not only provides visitors with information while they are in our City, but allows for our own photos, videos and audio tours to be placed on the APP. It is an incredible promotional opportunity for Brockville & 1000 Islands to be top of mind for those who haven't visited us yet."

Did you know the City of Brockville owns 17 islands in the St. Lawrence, available to all for camping and picnics! Once you've downloaded the Driftscape App (available for free on Android and iOS), not only will you be able to explore this, along with the picturesque 1000 Islands region, but also the many amazing sites and attractions of the City of Brockville - recognized as one of Ontario's oldest European-Canadian communities, first settled in 1785.

With the help of the Driftscape app, visitors and locals of the city will now have access the city's untold stories, be able to indulge in culinary delights and farm to table experiences, explore many heritage landmarks, walk through the world famous Railway Tunnel with its sound and light show, take a cruise, and dive down under the crystal clear waters to where famous sunken ships lie; all from the convenience of their fingertips. In the near future, the app will also act as your guide to the UNESCO sites of Brockville.
