Coronavirus or COVID-19, these words have become a synonym of our nightmare. We may have seen many movies in which a virus spreads all over the world and creates havoc, but in the end a hero saves the world by finding a cure.

The pandemic has made those scary movie plots into reality but we are yet to be saved by a hero. We are still struggling to find a cure for the deadly disease spread by the coronavirus. Humanity is suffering and the world is a halt. We are bound to be in our houses as it is the most effective way to prevent the virus.

The pandemic has affected the economy badly and the experts are expecting a huge recession that would be even more impactful than the Great recession of 2008. Industries are daying, business houses are collapsing and the unemployment rate is going higher than before.

However, the pandemic's adverse effect is not only limited to business and industries but on education as well. Schools, colleges and educational institutions are shut around the globe creating a sense of uncertainty for crores of students and teachers. Everyone is concerned about maintaining a physical distance along with loss of studies. In this scenario, the concept of online teaching has proven to be an effective alternative than organising a physical classroom.

Conducting an online teaching session has its own benefits. It does not require the students and teachers to meet physically, teachers may teach the student by creating a virtual meeting place using applications like Google meet, Zoom and skype etc.
Although, Online teaching is not as effective as a physical classroom and it has its other limitations like weak internet connection causing interruptions. But it surely helps in maintaining a physical distance and resolves the issue of education up to an extent.

We at GharPeshiksha.com understands the importance of education for both the teachers and the students. Where education is a mean for developing a sense of understanding and becoming a Nobel citizen for students as well as achieving their academic goals, it generates employment for teachers. We do not want any student to lack behind in completing their studies on time and are working towards providing uninterrupted educational services. Therefore, we have made provisions to conduct online teaching sessions by our teachers. In order to reduce physical contact, we have restricted our services to virtual teachings only. Also, In guidelines issued to teachers and the students, we have guided our members to download applications like google meet, zoom and skype etc to facilitate online teaching sessions. Everyday virtual classes are organized on the already discussed time. Students get their doubts cleared and after the completion of the class, teachers provide them with some assignments to be done.
Moreover, we have also tried to tackle the limitation of a weak internet connection. In areas where internet speed is not enough to take part in an online video classes or the network is not constant. For those areas, we have requested our member teachers to take doubts from the students via WhatsApp or any other messaging platform. Students may send their problematic questions to the concerned teacher and receive an explanative reply.
In addition to that, we are constantly creating awareness among the masses through our social media channels and maintaining a constant flow of information about the pandemic.

It is an extraordinary time for all of us. We must find ways to distance ourselves from each other and explore other ways to perform essential services. The concept of conducting virtual classes is one such step.
