East Midlands Property Firm Back in Action After Industry Lockdown

05-28-2020 09:13 AM CET | Industry, Real Estate & Construction

Press release from: Quibble Content Ltd

/ PR Agency: Quibble Content Ltd
As per the latest guidance released by Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick, the property market has been able to resume again, so long as new industry guidelines are adhered to.

Previous restrictions on the following have now been lifted:

o Preparing to buy, sell or move home
o Viewing properties
o Making offers or reservations
o Property searches and surveys
o Agreeing to move
o Moving your belongings

Since lockdown was implemented, back in March, over 450,000 home purchases were paused, and buyers and sellers were not able to continue the process of buying or selling a home.

All buyers will once again be able to complete their purchases and view properties, and property professionals such as estate agents, and removal firms will be able to return to work as per social distancing guidelines.

As Robert Jenrick MP said, "I am announcing new guidelines to allow the housing market to resume. Our clear plan will enable people to move home safely, covering each aspect of the sales and letting process from viewings to removals."
The announcement saw a massive surge of interest within the property market, showing clear signs that the public is once again ready to go house hunting.

East Midlands property firm, King West, has announced that a number of incredible new properties are ready to go to market, all within a commutable distance to London.

"We're absolutely delighted to announce that we've been able to reopen both our Market Harborough and Stamford branches." Stephen J King FRICS continues, "We're excited to be bringing several new properties to market, and early indicators suggest that immediate price drops within the industry predicted by many, have not been seen to date."

The resurgence of the property market began even before the industry lockdown was lifted. Which is encouraging news given that this has been a difficult period for the industry, and for those living with the uncertainty of being unable to complete the sale or purchase of properties.

"Fortunately, we are beginning to see shoots of recovery, which is fantastic news. From our perspective here at King West, we're absolutely raring to get going again to help our customers with our unique range of experience and services."

King West will now be arranging property viewings, while strictly adhering to Government advice on safe social distancing. What's more, to coincide with the reopening of their offices, King West have launched their new website and a virtual house valuation service.

As Tom Wilson BSc (Hons) MRICS, Director of King West, states, "We'd always planned to launch a virtual valuation service and the recent pandemic has highlighted how important services such as these are and it's only increased the demand. For some people, it is a much quicker and easier way of being able to get a valuation on their home. We simply use video technology at a time that is convenient for the client and are guided through their home. It provides busy homeowners with peace of mind in that we're able to continue supporting their needs, while having access to our extensive knowledge of properties of distinction."
