Thompson & Knight Gains IP Expert in New York
The international law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce John J. Driscoll has joined the Firm as a Partner in the New York office. He brings over 30 years of experience in intellectual property and international business transactions to Thompson & Knight.Driscoll focuses his practice on businesses with intellectual property assets. His clients include fashion, fragrance, software, and media companies, many of whom are non-U.S. companies setting up operations in the U.S., including French, Spanish, German, British, and Turkish companies. He advises them on all aspects of their business operations in the U.S. and abroad, including trademark prosecution and protection, copyright issues, licensing, international operations, sourcing, new ventures, retail operations, employment, finance, and trade matters. His experience also includes corporate and securities transactions, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, hedge funds, and international business transactions.

Driscoll received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1976, an M.A. from the London School of Economics in 1973, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1970. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, and is the Director of the Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce.
