Ontario Marine Professionals launch BOATaid.ca
BOATaid.ca is the first service of its kind to provide boaters with location based information they can rely on in an emergency from towing services, on site repairs, battery boost, or fuel delivery. The cost of these emergency services is covered in your Skippers' Plan policy. There is no deductible and payments towards BOATaid.ca are not considered a claim on your record.
“We helped to create this new service to provide more value to our clients,” say Andrew Robertson, “and to promote the unique coverage provided by Skippers’ Plan policies.” This really is a win-win for boaters another way Skippers’ Plan provide boaters with peace-of-mind boating at no additional cost.
Until now it was not always easy for boaters to find qualified service providers in an emergency situation away from their home port. The mobile app shows the boat's location which can reduce emergency response time. BOATaid.ca also provides information about the closest marinas or yacht club, grocery stores, restaurants and much more. This FREE APP is available to all boaters in Ontario.
For more information on BOATaid.ca visit skippersplan.com or stop by Booth #1753 during the Toronto Boat Show January 14-22, 2012.
