SaveLight

SaveLight

Saving electricity energy and reducing energy consumption – two of the main trends in modern eco-friendly society. Automation technologies and cloud computing now make it possible to fulfil these tasks with minimal investments and maximum economic benefit. Up to 35% on energy costs of street lighting can be saved by using SaveLight integrated automated solution from the FF-Automation Oy (Finland). Both at large and small urban zones, such remote management and monitoring SaveLight system saving lots of thousands Euro per year, reduces carbon dioxide emission for hundreds of tonnes and allow to pay off an initial investment in 1 - 3 years.
Using public and low-cost communication networks like GSM / GPRS and Internet, SaveLight allows watching the state of lighting circuits, switching and dimming lighting in the streets and highways with a conventional computer from anywhere. It can also operate automatically according a schedule or an internal signal from the light sensor, which takes into account all of local circumstances and specialities.
Extremely flexible structure, easy to add and modify any of its objects and components directly from your Internet browser is based on a modern and reliable ControlMan - cloud technology web-SCADA system, developed by FF-Automation. ControlMan application scope for sure is not limited to lighting control; it is successfully used in many projects where customer needs to get a simple and effective tool for managing remote sites via Internet.
Implementation of SaveLight in the real world is quite simple. The project generally consists of two phases: hardware installation and user registration on the ControlMan web server. Hardware part - programmable logical controllers, measuring current and voltage devices, controlled switches and dimming transformers are installing into existing or new electrical cabinets or boards. To reduce the energy consumption of street lighting by 35% you just need to install a local GSM operator SIM-card into the controller and then register the user (or user group) in the ControlMan system. After that street lighting would be only when needed, only where needed, and in accordance with natural illumination. If necessary, it is possible to intervene in system execution and manually change settings. Information about the burned-out bulbs and replacement periods is displayed to operator, and in case of unusual situations, alarms can be transmitted not only to the screen, but also directly to mobile phones and e-mail.
SaveLight system helps to solve several important problems of the urban economy: save money on electricity and maintenance, increase the convenience of lighting for the residents and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Implementation of the system allows for short-term return of investment costs; increase the efficiency of urban lighting system and creates an opportunity to add other objects to automatic remote control. Now the door to modern automated solutions is opened with SaveLight.
