HARMAN's experts discuss user-centric audio experiences in

HARMAN has launched a new weekly podcast series that will cover a variety of audio topics. Episode two of the Audio Matters podcast launches on 14 May 2020 and takes you inside the car of the future, the 'Experience economy on wheels'.
Bill Wyman, HARMAN's VP Global Marketing Car Audio, Chris Ludwig, VP Epic Experience Team, and Riley Winton, UX Concept Manager at HARMAN, explore the car of the future and how user-centric audio experiences will come into the automobile.

As Covid-19 lockdown measures begin to recede, how will the listening habits that people have developed over the past few weeks and months transfer to the in-car environment? What is the meaning of Experience Per Mile and how is it changing the way people buy and use cars? What will the in-car audio experience of the future look like?
The podcast, hosted by professional music journalist, presenter and broadcaster Oisin Lunny, dives into all of these questions and much more. It is available on Podigee, and all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Deezer.

The Audio Matters podcast series was launched to provide some relief from the lockdown and social distancing measures put in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to people suffering from loneliness, anxiety, and a very real sense of disconnection. It brings together a diverse line-up of audio experts and legends of the music industry to deliver fun and timely information on a variety of audio topics to help make listeners feel engaged, connected and entertained.
Episode 1 launched last week and explains the notion of 'active listening', with fascinating input from Dr Sean Olive, Senior Fellow, Acoustic Research at HARMAN and past President of the Audio Engineering Society, Dr. Hauke Egermann, Director of York Music Psychology Group, and Frank Filipetti, 7x Grammy-winning music producer. They discuss the concept of deep listening, explore its benefits, and reveal how to tap into them. This episode builds on HARMAN's recently launched Art of Listening documentary, which is available here and has the goal of raising awareness about the profound advantages that active listening can provide.
Additional episodes will explain: what to expect from the future of audio; how to set up home audio systems, with a HiFi configuration guide for creating optimal listening warmth; and how to achieve the best sound for live performances, with experts providing insight on large-scale audio installations for live music.
