“Legal Services Act would change the way, legal services

Los Angeles, December 18, 2011 –

“Legal Services Act will change the way in which the legal services are delivered in England and Wales and we are eagerly looking forward to play an important role in the new era”, says Priya. Priya Mukundhan, Founder and CEO, GILS was speaking in a webinar organized by KPO Consultants on December 14, 2011 focusing on “Implementation of the UK’s Legal Services Act of 2007”

Further to this Priya added,” We believe that the emergence of LPO industry, being with the standards of providing services by the Act, will certainly add value and provide customers greater acceptability to legal services and better value for money.” With support to Priya’s above statement, Pankaj Parnami, Founder Director, KPOC added, “The Act would provide an opportunity to UK based law firms to seek external funding and run their firms in the better form. LPOs would be pleased to form alliances”.

Another speaker, Samuel Clague, Partner, The Stephen James Partnership, from the buyers’ perspective stated,” The implementation of Act would give rise to a tough competition among law firms and LPO vendors forcing law firms to source services economically.” On this, Priya added,” It would rather help the LPOs to be considered as business partners and not as competitors in UK legal market”.

The webinar ended with a short Question & Answer session. Vote of thanks was delivered by Pankaj in which he officially announced the launch of another milestone of KPOC’s historic journey - “Global Outsourcing Associations of Lawyers (GOAL)”.
