CP Plus Car Park Management Trains Staff to Deal With Winter Weather

One of the UK's leading car park management firms, CP Plus, is pleased to announce that staff have received specialist training to deal with any adverse weather conditions occurring this Winter.

CP Plus, which operates car parks across the country is pleased to introduce are now instituting their own repair regimes as part of facilities maintenance (FM) services.

Surface car parks will require constant upkeep throughout the winter. Problems such as fading bay lines and potholes are commonplace at this time of year. Rather than simply letting car parks deteriorate to the point where contractors are will need to be called in, CP Plus has introduced new measures to ensure that its parking management work can continue, with as little disruption as possible.

"Besides replacing signs, refreshing lines and filling in pot-holes, CP Plus now also replaces light bulbs and deep cleans car parks as a core activity," says head of development Gavin Povey. "We also look after landscaping, weeding and replanting verges in car parks."

CP Plus has developed links with a number of specialist refurbishment contractors to upgrade both surface and multi-storey car parks. The company will also project manage refurbishments for clients. "We managed the upgrade at Mutley Plain for Plymouth Council as well as numerous hospital car parks nationally" says Povey.

CP Plus staff are trained in snow clearance and, where the service is required, they are equipped with manual grit spreaders for footpaths and also gritting trailers for the car parks. "At sites where we manage gritting ourselves, we set up an alert with the Met Office so that if the ground temperature is going to freeze we get an early warning" says Povey.
