CWC Announces Sixth Annual Strategic Forum: Iraq Petroleum 2012
The conference sessions will cover the dynamics of the world industry, as well as global economic growth, oil demand and prices, surplus of oil and gas revenues, and rebuilding projects. With the full support and attendance of the Iraqi Government, the conference will provide key opportunities for potential new investors within the Iraqi oil and gas sector by bringing together the key industry experts and government representatives.
Iraqi Oil Minister Abdelkarim al-Luaybi stated "We are implementing a plan that is unprecedented in the history of Iraq's oil industry, multiplying oil and gas production to four times and building gigantic infrastructure and projects to turn Iraq into a key energy source in the world."
Besides oil, Iraq has the 12th largest proven gas reserves in the world, the conference will highlight the importance of dealing with flared gas as a source of fuel for electricity. National and international speakers will provide a background on the landscape of the energy sector with strategic sessions focused on key industry updates and opportunities.
Iraq Petroleum 2011 proved to be a huge success with a global gathering of 30 countries from over 19 sectors within the oil and gas industry and support from Crescent Petroleum, Baker Hughes and conference sponsors ExxonMobil, Statoil, Shell, Total, Oxy, ENI, Jawar Al Khaleej Shipping L.L.C, Oil Serv, Huawei, IAG, Olive Group, Mott MacDonald, Mubadala, Standard Chartered, Technology Partners, SKA Group, and OIEC.
