Saudi Infrastructure Brings Together Decision Makers

The Mayor of Jeddah Inaugurates the First International Exhibition on the Infrastructure and Cities Planning. 80 Saudi and International Companies Opt to Share New Projects.
On behalf of his Royal Highness Prince Mansour Bin Mitib Bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal & Rural Affairs, Mayor of Jeddah Dr Hani Abu Ras has inaugurated the first international forum and exhibition specialised in the infrastructure cities planning, and transportation. The event is organised by Al-Harithy and CWC. The Forum is taking place at The Jeddah Center for Forums and Events an extended body of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Saudi and International companies have participated in the four day event, with over 80 companies already showing up.
Dr Hani Abu Ras took tour around the exhibition accompanied by Walid, the deputy president of Al-Harthi. Abu Ras took a look at the stands and listened to explanations from these companies about their future plans.
Following the tour, the Mayor of Jeddah told journalists,
"I was pleased with what I have seen in the international conference and exhibition on infrastructure, and the presence of grand Saudi and international companies. This exposes the importance of the Saudi market to investors and businessmen, and help in signing trading deals, and getting involved in strategic partnerships and grand projects.”
Abu Ras also said that Jeddah will witness a grand shift in different sectors due to the support and attention it receives from both Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Governor of Makkah and Prince Mishaal bin Majed governor of Jeddah, their efforts aim at developing Jeddah and granting it the status it a distinguished status in the region.
Mr Walid the deputy president of Al-Harithy said “the kingdom is considered one of the best countries that attract investments. This he said is because it pays more on projects related to service and infrastructure. The International Saudi Exhibition is an opportunity for Saudi and international companies to get involved in gigantic projects in relation to infrastructure, city planning and transportation, as well as signing big investment contracts, and showcasing advanced technologies and services.
The event is an opportunity for investors, the public, and privet sectors to know the market capacities and meet directly decision makers and thus sing direct and indirect contracts.
He concluded that the exhibition enjoys the participation of many governmental bodies as well as a vast number of local and international companies that are showcasing their advanced products in relation to infrastructure, city planning projects, and transportation. This he said will be a great opportunity for local and international companies to get involved in strategic partnership and strong economical agreements that will enhance the business and investment in the Saudi market.”
The exhibition has a forum which is bringing together decision makers from local and international companies as well as contractors who will discuss the future vision and challenges in relation to the infrastructure projects being part of the Saudi economy.
The ninth Saudi development plan has allocated some US$385 billion to develop the infrastructure between the year 2010 and 2014 a large number of contracts have dragged the attention of investors to the commercial opportunities that the kingdom enjoys regionally and internationally. This comes in line with companies striving to achieve sustainable economy.
