Breijer acquires Asset Facility Management BV

In October, there was an agreement between Breijer Bouw en Installatie, part of the Facilicom Services Group and Asset Facility Management BV regarding the acquisition of the company by mid 2011. Asset is a consultancy office in the field of maintenance and management of buildings. The company employs about 35 people who work in the Netherlands. Asset primarily serves clients in the nonprofit sector, including municipalities, education, housing and healthcare. Michiel Segers of the Corporate Finance in Europe M&A network acted as M&A advisor for Asset Facility Management.

The activities of Asset are complimentary to Breijer´s, especially in the field of maintenance. Because Asset is involved in the preparation and outsourcing of maintenance this acquisition will give Breijer possibilities for expansion and it will strengthen its sales.

Tokunbo Weststeijn, director of Breijer is pleased: "As we continue our ambition to expand in the maintenance market, it is a logical step to take over Asset. Asset is strong in the preparatory process of the preservation of property. We will see that in the next years Breijer can continue its growth in the maintenance market”.

Besides the specialization consisting of inspections of buildings and equipment, Asset manages real estate for a number of their clients. Asset is certified to conduct inspections in accordance with NEN 2767 (Measurement Condition). Also, EPA-U certified, for energy performance advice and certificates for commercial buildings may be issued.
