TV Presenter Christine Talbot Takes Different Approach!

Yorkshire PR and media specialists Different PR is to help a well-known Yorkshire TV presenter make the headlines in addition to reading them.

The Harrogate-based company, started by former journalists Richard Chew and David Simister, is now working with Christine Talbot, the co-anchor of Calendar News, to help promote her off screen profile.

Christine is one of a number personalities being represented by the PR firm. Others “on the books” include Sky Sports presenter Olivia Godfrey, model and author Jilly Johnson, celebrity PA Donna Coulling, model and TV presenter Sarah Whitefoot and barrister, comedian and motivational speaker Nick Davies.

Christine, who began her career in journalism on the Southport Recorder newspaper, has fronted the long-running regional news programme since 2001 and has twice been short-listed for Royal Television’s Society best presenter award.

She said: “I have known both Richard and David for a number of years now as both journalists and PR professionals.

“I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming months on a number of exciting projects beyond the TV studio.”

Different PR director David Simister said: “Christine is one of the most recognised faces in Yorkshire and a great ambassador for the region and joins us as we launch a ‘personalities’ division.

“Outside of her Calendar role, she is regularly called on to host regional events, make personal appearances and support local charity fundraising drives.

“Our role will be to look for different opportunities for her, not only regionally, but nationally too.”
