ConvertApi: Online API for Conversion of Almost Any Source File into PDF

Baltsoft Software has announced the launch of ConvertApi, application programming interface for converting Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, raw HTML codes, web pages and other sources into PDF files and images. ConvertApi can be easily integrated into online and offline systems, providing quick and convenient access to conversion services.

Baltsoft Software, known for its handy online services such as Web2PDF Converter and Online PDF Converter, now offers the developers an online API for creation of PDF files out of all kinds of sources. ConvertApi guarantees high quality of output PDF files, quick processing and near-permanent uptime of the service. It should be noted that neither servers nor third-party libraries are required.

ConvertApi combines quite a number of advantages, being lightweight, fast and efficient. Moreover, it is extremely easy to integrate it into both online or offline systems, e.g. web applications, databases and desktop applications. It works in the following way: a REST HTTP call to a corresponding online conversion service is made, and the resulted image or PDF is received as HTTP response stream or as a JSon object. For reasons of security it is also possible to make HTTPS calls.

- OpenOffice documents to PDF;
- TXT and LOG documents to PDF;
- XLS and XLSX spreadsheets to PDF;
- Email files to PDF.
